Tish Murtha (b.1956) was a photographer best known for documenting marginalised communities and working-class life in the North East. Born in South Shields, Tish belonged to the tough streets which she portrayed so memorably. Following Tish’s early death in 2013, her daughter Ella crowd-funded this documentary to give her mother’s outstanding work the widespread recognition it deserves.
